Search forms send the name, phone number, or address entered to the outside provider that supplies the results. Newark People Search does not save a copy of those searches on its servers. A direct message contains only what the sender chooses to provide, and that information is used to answer the inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps maintain the site and shows which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. Newark People Search does not sell a visitor list or assemble profiles about individual users.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links lead to Newark and Alameda County offices, California agencies, courts, libraries, and outside search tools. Each destination applies its own privacy policy to information submitted there. That includes sponsored results, which are supplied by a separate company rather than Newark People Search.
When Data May Be Shared
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for the site. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; visitor information is not otherwise shared.
Safeguarding Visitor Data
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Because Newark People Search has no user accounts, it holds no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor may have submitted information so it can be removed.
California Privacy Rights
California residents may have access, correction, deletion, and opt-out rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act framework. Civil Code section 1798.99.86 also supports the state's DROP deletion-request process for registered data brokers. Because Newark People Search holds little visitor data, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and server logs for removable information. Use the Contact page to submit one. Public records held by Newark, Alameda County, or California agencies remain under the custodian's control, so a request about those records must go to that office.
